Norman Mattoon Thomas (November 20, 1884 – December 19, 1968) was a leading American socialist and pacifist. He was an ordained minister who opposed U.S. involvement in both World War I and World War II (finally supporting the latter conflict only after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor).
